A small studio. A slow practice.
Each piece begins as a quiet hour at the wheel, or as clay shaped slowly in my hands. The forms are intentional, the glazes are mixed in small batches, and each piece is signed when it's done. The studio came to clay through a long love of the natural world — yoga, the mountains of the California foothills, the slow rhythm of working with the materials of a place. The work is made to feel like it belongs to that world. Quiet things that hold morning coffee or a single peach or the weight of a candle on a winter evening. Things you live with, not just things you have.Work comes in small numbers, on purpose. Some pieces are one-of-one. Some are made-to-order. Lead time on commissions is about four to eight weeks because we don't want to rush the parts that matter — the throwing, the trimming, the glaze, the long second firing.
